Designed and manufactured by the popular flooring brand Egger, this versatile water-resistant floor is part of their innovative Design Flooring collection which we think is one of the best quality floors available. It is neither classified as laminate or LVT floor, but it incorporates many of their best features to make a very versatile floor covering
Egger's Rough Cut Grey is almost waterproof and has an innovative self-repairing top wear layer, which can remove indentations and scratches. It is constructed with a unique combination of wood chip fibers along with a double sealed coating, which gives this Design Floor the extra moisture resistance. This floor is commonly used in domestic and commercial applications such as kitchens or even in shops. The Design Flooring range excels in areas where a high level of moisture is present, for example, in bathrooms.
Among the many qualities of this floor, we love that it is so environmentally friendly. It is 70% constructed from wood fibers and is free from PVC and plasticisers. It has also been awarded with an R10 anti-slip rating.
The installation is very DIY friendly and won't require glue or drying time. You can use it straight after installation. It is crucial to check that you have a level sub-floor and an underlay compatible with LVT flooring. We highly recommend reading our how to install LVT flooring guide. It installs just like a regular laminate floor with a drop in click system.
This Floor is one of the few items that we don't hold in stock, so delivery can be delayed. Please contact us for delivery dates.
It's important to inspect your laminate flooring before laying. If you find any defects at all then DO NOT INSTALL THE FLOOR until you speak with your supplier to determine the best way forward. Many manufacturers will not validate a warranty if the defective flooring is installed. It is not uncommon to find what appears to be very slight damage to the edges and especially the corners of laminate floors. This will mostly be superficial as the machining process can create small imperfections along the click system that will have no effect on the quality or performance of the floor. However large broken areas or large areas of damaged click systems are a cause for concern and you should contact your supplier before proceeding with the installation.
